In line with the theme of Sai Kung Hoi Art Festival entering its third year, “Point”, “Line”, “Surface”. Two artworks about 3 meters high stand in front of the Tin Hau Temple at Hi-island Pier. The material is using Ban Zhang’s iconic stainless steel clothes hanger, sculpt out the fish-like shape with a phantom effect added to the surface, which changes with the weather at different times. The convex lens in the fish body reflects the beautiful scenery of Hi-island. Fish means prosperity; Pisces also means good luck. Through the artwork, we hope that Hi-island will become an important tourist attraction in Sai Kung Hoi.
“Prismatic Rainbow Mascot” Paper sculpture workshop
In order to coordinate with the artwork “Prismatic Rainbow Mascot”, The materials used in the workshop are iridescent PVC and convex lenses. The pre-cut Pisces shape is integrated into one piece, allowing the public to easily participate and make it. The whole process is easy and interactive. Participants can DIY and experience the process of art creation first-hand. The artist also shares the connection between the artwork and High-island.
