About Exhibition
This exhibition centers on the art of Kintsugi, complemented by Lacquerware and Maki-e techniques. The exhibits range from restored antique vessels spanning generations to simple, everyday wares, alongside a selection of contemporary lacquer art creations.
Through this process, TO Yeuk transforms imperfection into a unique signature, regarding this journey of exploration—fraught with the unknown—as the core of understanding Kintsugi.
The exhibits provide a detailed record of TO Yeuk’s evolution from the Kintsugi craft to a broader exploration of the applications of lacquer.
Throughout the exhibition, TO Yeuk will be present on-site to perform object restoration and create lacquer art; visitors are welcome to engage with her and hear the stories behind her exploration of the craft. A dedicated display area showcases the tools used, offering the public a deeper understanding of the Kintsugi process and a glimpse into the secrets of this traditional Japanese restoration technique, honed over time.
This is more than just an exhibition; we invite you to join our workshops and immerse yourself in an extraordinary experience centered on cherishing objects, embracing imperfection, and rebirth.

No prior experience needed! It is perfect for Nine-to-fiver looking to experience being a “craftsman for a day” or for parent-child activities.

**Applicants/Organizations must submit the registration form at least 3 working days in advance.
Terms and Conditions:
(1) Participants may bring their own cooked eggshells.
(2) Registration is only considered complete once payment has been made within 3 days of sign-up; failure to remit payment by the deadline will be treated as a forfeiture of the spot, and no further notice will be given.
(3) Once registration is confirmed, no rescheduling or alternative class dates will be permitted for any changes or cancellations requested by the registrant or organization; all fees paid are non-refundable.
(4) Once registration and payment are completed, requests to postpone attendance due to personal reasons cannot be accommodated. Auditing or sitting in on the class is not permitted, so as not to disrupt the proceedings.
(5) In the event of special circumstances on the day of the workshop (such as the pandemic, severe weather, a Black Rainstorm Warning, or Typhoon Signal No. 8 or higher), the activity will be cancelled, and a rescheduled date will be announced separately.
(6) Please do not wear light-colored or expensive clothing to class. Participants are advised to wear a mask throughout the workshop.
(7) Please bring your own bag or container to take your work home; ZLAB assumes no responsibility for its safekeeping.
(8) The course fee covers the venue rental, tutor fees, and the cost of materials used in class; tools are complimentary for use during the course.
(9) In the event of any dispute, ZLAB reserves the right of final decision.

(1) Participants may bring 1–2 broken or fragmented items to repair; small objects (no longer than 15 cm) are recommended. If you wish to check whether your item is suitable for the workshop, please contact us via WhatsApp at 9525 9621 or email info@zlab.site at least 3 days before the class begins.
(2) The workshop covers the repair of 1–2 vessels. Participants will learn to use various decorative materials, including imitation gold powder (not food-safe) and pure silver powder (food-safe). As the size of the damaged areas and individual design preferences vary among participants, you are encouraged to consult the instructor for advice during the class.
(3) Raw lacquer is used during the course; please consider carefully before registering, as individual sensitivities may lead to allergic skin reactions.
(4) Registration is only considered complete once payment has been made within 3 days of sign-up; failure to remit payment by the deadline will be treated as a forfeiture of the spot, and no further notice will be given.
(5) Once registration is confirmed, no requests for changes or cancellations will be accepted; the course cannot be deferred to a later date, nor can alternative class dates be arranged. All fees paid are non-refundable.
(6) Requests to defer classes due to personal reasons will not be accepted after payment, and auditing or trial attendance is not permitted to avoid disrupting the flow of the course. The primary material used in Kintsugi restoration is “natural lacquer,” which requires exposure to air to oxidize and cure naturally; consequently, the course progresses at a specific pace each week. As there are no make-up class arrangements, participants are strongly encouraged to attend every session. Please do not arrive late or leave early during the first week, as this may disrupt the course schedule and affect the experience of other participants.
(7) In the event of unforeseen circumstances on the day of the workshop (such as the pandemic, severe weather, a Black Rainstorm Warning, or a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or higher), the activity will be cancelled, and participants will be notified of a rescheduled date.
